News Round Up

Fleetwood, of Conf North, have denied paying former Chester player Anthony Barry a four figure weekly wage after they nicked him from under the noses of Wrexham. The player refused to deny claims by Dragons' boss Dean Saunders that he had taken a deal that was three times the wages offered by the Conference side. Bournemouth are reporting that they will have just 13 fit professionals for Saturday's trip to Crewe.

Lincoln want to sign Aston Villa defender Chris Herd on a permanent deal in the summer. He is expected to be released from Villa Park when his contract expires. The Imps have released transfer listed defender Janos Kovacs by mutual consent. Rochdale have extended the loan of Man Utd keeper Tom Heaton until the end of the month, and talks are ongoing to extend the deal to the end of the season. Cheltenham are trialling former QPR and Bristol City defender Josh Ford.

Darlington have signed Nottm Forest keeper Shane Redmond on loan for a month. The Irish u21 man had four games on loan at Burton earlier this season. Rochdale are expected to sell young winger Will Buckley to Watford in the next few days. The move is possible after the financially stricken Hornets were loaned £500,000 by a director.

Ex-Bull Chris Hargreaves has turned down a youth coaching role at Torquay and has asked to be placed on the transfer list. He has been removed from the squad for tonight's match with Barnet and has been given a few days off to consider his future. Cheltenham defender Drissa Diallo has retired from professional football after leaving the club. He will return to France after turning down two offers from FL clubs to play until the end of the season.
