Rotherham hope to complete a deal to secure a site for their new stadium within the next two weeks. They have to return to the area as part of their deal to retain their Football League place. Notts County owner Peter Trembling will sell up if it's in the best interests of the club, saying that a serious investor will be welcome to take the club off his hands. Talks are ongoing with a number of parties, with a sponsorship deal beginning next season tied up with Norwegian company Ludo.
Aldershot have extended the loan of Reading midfielder Oliver Bozanic for another month. Burton may sign loan striker Steve Kabba on a permanent deal after Brentford said the player had 'found his level', but they would require a fee. Salisbury have had their transfer embargo lifted, a day after they agreed a CVA with creditors. They should exit Administration within a month once the statutory period to object to the CVA has passed.
Stockport have accepted a bid from Norwich for striker Oli Johnson. The 22 year old has only scored once this season after being linked to Fulham in the summer. He is one of four players linked with moves away in the January window. Norwich have reported a loss of £5million in being relegated from the Championship last season. Their accounts report that, while they have enough money and finance to complete this season, they will need nearly £3million in additional finance to continue at the same cost levels next term.
Aldershot are giving a trial to Swansea midfielder Kristian O'Leary. The 32 year old has not played for the Swans for more than a year and is out of contract in the summer. Cheltenham have lost the services of Blackpool loanee Ashley Eastham after the Tangerines recalled him. Dagenham are hoping to gazump Notts County in their efforts to sign Portsmouth winger Matt Ritchie on loan. Ritchie had a loan with the Daggers last season, but the club have signed Ritchie's teammate Marlon Pack on a months loan after the player had a similar spell at Wycombe.
Darlington have signed three new players. Clarke Keltie returns to the club after being released by Rochdale, while Irish pair Tadhg Purcell and Gary Dempsey have also agreed terms. Striker or winger Purcell scored 28 times in 104 appearances for Shamrock while midfielder Dempsey, a former Everton trainee, had a two year spell with Aberdeen before a brief stint with Yeovil.
