Hereford United have confirmed that plans for the redevelopment of the Blackfriars End have been submitted to the Herefordshire Council.
The Official Site reports that planning permission could be given in around eight weeks time. Of course there is the possibility of objections to the plans and/or the council requesting slight changes which may delay the procedure but in truth any development in that area has to be better than what is currently there.
The site says that completion of the new stand 'should take no longer than six months'. However it doesn't make clear whether that is six months from today or six months from the date planning is given.
Finally the site says that 'in the meantime the club will invite tenders for the development work'. Several local companies could be interested in the work and it has to be hoped that one of these is chosen.
Nothing better than to have a Herefordshire company building a new stand at Herefordshire's only Football League club.
