Stockport's proposed takeover has again been knocked back by the Football League. Jim Melrose's bid for the League One side has been on the table since June but has been constantly rejected by the FL. Administrators Leonard Curtis have again urged other bidders to come forward, with the club facing the prospect of being thrown out of the League if they do not exit Administration by the end of the season.
The Football League have named Greg Clarke as their new chairman, replacing Brian Malwhinney sometime in the summer. Clarke is a former Leicester chairman who guided the club out of Administration in 2002. Rotherham have signed youngster Abdulai Bell-Baggie on loan from Reading. The 18 year old winger has been with the Royals since the age of nine, and was given a first team squad number in December.
Barnet have loaned midfielder Joe Tabiri to Dover for a month. He has spent most of this season out on loan to a variety of Conference sides. They have also signed Ipswich midfielder Edward Upson. The England u19 international has played twice in the Carling Cup for the Tractorboys. Torquay have lost the services of loanee forward Ashley Barnes after Plymouth recalled him. Bradford want to extend the loan of ex-Bull Robbie Threlfall until the end of the season.
Crewe have signed Bolton defender Chris Stokes on loan for a month. The full back comes in despite the club having transfer listed Billy Jones available.
