The Bulls slip a place to 19th on today's results after Macclesfield beat Bury 2-0 to move ahead of the Bulls by a point. Barnet stay level on points after a 2-1 home loss to Accrington despite playing an hour of the match with a man advantage. Darlington lost 2-0 at Northampton, with the Cobblers now in the play-offs. For the Quakers they are 18 points short of safety after Cheltenham beat Burton 6-5 in a see-saw match that saw the Robins 5-3 down with three minutes of normal time left. Grimsby drew 1-1 at Morecambe, but saw their deficit to Cheltenham stretch to six points (ten to the Bulls). Torquay drew 1-1 with Crewe to remain 21st.
At the top Rochdale beat Shrewsbury 1-0 to stretch their lead to nine. The Shrews drop out of the play-offs as a result. With Bournemouth facing Notts County on Monday night, Bury missed the cahnce to take second place with their loss to the Silkmen. Chesterfield lost 5-0 at home to Port Vale but retain fifth place, while Rotherham beat Dagenham 1-0 to stay sixth. In the other game Bradford beat Aldershot 2-1.
In the Conference Rushden hammered Gateshead 8-0, with six of the goals scored in the second half. Oxford failed to retake the top, with Stevenage playing in the Trophy, after drawing 1-1 with Kettering. The top two have now played the same number of games, with Stevenage a point and ten goals better off.
In the FA Trophy Stevenage hammered Kidderminster 5-1 in the first leg of the semi-final.
