Grimsby's survival hopes took a blow as they lost 4-2 at Crewe. Darlington also edge closer to the drop, again losing a lead in drawing 1-1 at Bury. Macclesfield drew 1-1 at Accrington to move nine clear of the bottom two.
At the top Bury's draw means they stay third just ahead of Notts County, who beat Chesterfield 1-0 to take their fourth spot on goal difference. In the other game Port Vale beat Bradford 2-1 to move up to 11th, with the Bantams' goal scored by ex-Bull Robbie Threlfall.
In the Conference Stevenage are the new leaders after hammering Barrow 4-0, with Oxford losing 2-1 at home to Hayes and Yeading. Forest Green lost 2-1 at Luton, while York's play-off chances took another knock with a 2-1 home loss to Salisbury.
