Graham Turner has put his, and Joan Fennessey's, shares in the club up for sale.
A statement on the official site this afternoon reads: 'After very careful consideration I have decided to put my shares in the Club up for sale. Vice Chairperson, Joan Fennessy has also taken the decision to offer her shares for sale. It is felt that the Club requires fresh impetus in order to take it forward.
The Club itself is in good shape, the prospect of redevelopment with funding available from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, the security of a new long lease for Edgar Street in the pipeline and financial stability produced from trading profitably for the past six years, make it an attractive proposition.
There has been a considerable amount of hard work put into the Club in order to secure it's long term future, therefore we are determined that whoever takes on the top positions at the Club are fit and proper persons and are involving themselves in the Club for sound football reasons, but also with the appropriate business acumen to ensure its future prosperity.
In the meantime the Club will continue to operate in accordance with good business practise and professionalism.'
