The Bulls entertain Barnet at Edgar Street on Saturday looking for three wins on the trot for the first time this season.
It was a goalless draw at Underhill earlier in the season, but Barnet won on their last visit to Edgar Street in January 2008. Trevor Benjamin's goal for the Bulls cancelled out Albert Adomah's strike, but ex-Bull Nicky Nicolau popped up five minutes from time to give the points to the Bees. That win is their only one at Edgar Street, with the Bulls winning six and drawing four of the other League and Conference encounters.
The Bulls feel relatively safe after six points from their last two games, but they will feel a lot safer exiting the Easter weekend with two wins to make the 50 point mark. With Graham Turner indicating that a managerial appointment may wait until the summer, talk on new contracts for the bulk of the squad may have to wait until then. That is not unusual for Turner, who has opted in recent seasons to wait until after the final match of the season before telling players where their future lies.
Barnet sit two points below the Bulls in the table with a game in hand, but are also considered to be safe for the season. The pre-season Dad's Army acquisitions of Garry Breen, Paul Furlong, and Lee Harrison have made just 41 League starts between them as injuries have taken their toll leaving a variety of local league finds and academy youngsters to outperform pre-season bookmaker predictions of a narrow relegation escape. Top scorer John O'Flynn has 12 goals in 27 starts, but no-one else has more than four.
