Darlington have lost their League status despite beating Rochdale 1-0 at Spotland.
Grimsby surrendered a lead to draw 2-2 with Chesterfield. They cut the gap to safety to seven points, with Cheltenham and now Barnet their targets. The Bees lost 4-1 at Dagenham and are struggling badly for points, while the Robins drew 0-0 at Shrewsbury to push the Bees down to 22nd on goal difference. Torquay won 2-0 at Aldershot to give themselves a ten point gap, while Lincoln lost 3-1 at Notts County and Macclesfield hit 50 points with a 1-1 draw with Burton.
At the top no-one is guaranteed promotion after tonight's results. Notts County are on top after their win, holding a point lead and a game in hand on Rochdale. The Magpies need a solitary point on Saturday to go up, while Rochdale will need at least a point at the weekend to end a 36 year stay in the basement. Rotherham hold fourth after beating Northampton 1-0, with the Cobblers falling two points away from the top 7. Bury beat Crewe 3-0 to move up to fifth, while Chesterfield's point at Bury keeps them inside the play-offs. Aldershot hold the last spot despite their loss. Bradford beat Morecambe 2-0 to dent the Shrimps' play-off aspirations.
In the Conference Luton beat Histon 6-3 to keep the title race alive. Oxford's top spot hopes are effectively over after drawing 0-0 with Cambridge, while York confirmed their play-off participation with a 3-0 win over Barrow. Forest Green beat Crawley 1-0 to move within goal difference of safety.
At the bottom of League One Gillingham drew 1-1 with Brighton to set the safety bar at 44 points. Wycombe are six points short despite beating Tranmere (41 points, game in hand) 3-0 at Prenton Park. Southend drew 2-2 with Brentford to be five points short. Leyton Orient moved clear with a 2-1 win over leaders Norwich.
