Gradi Hints At Lunt Capture

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has hinted that he would like Kenny Lunt back at Crewe.

He says it might happen 'if he was available on a free transfer' but he would need to fit into Crewe's exisiting budget. Lunt would be on a free transfer if he opts not to accept the Bulls' reduced contract offer, which expires at the end of the month. Gradi told Crewe's official site:

"It is difficult to turn down very good players on a free transfer and Kenny would fall into that category if he was to become available again. I am sure Kenny would like to come back here but it doesn't always work out like that. We have had him back in the past and the likes of Neil Sorvel have done well for us when coming back.

"I would be stupid not to consider someone as good as Kenny but at the moment the playing budget is very tight and someone like him would have to be a luxury.

"I have Lee Bell back and want to play Westy back in the middle of midfield. I also have Luke Murphy who can play there as well, so another midfielder of that type isn't top of our priority list."
