Guinan “On The List” at Cobblers

As reported earlier on this site, Northampton Town have released six players from their 09/10 squad.

It has now come to light that three other players who are contracted through next season have been transfer listed. The players include ex-Bull Steve Guinan who joined The Cobblers on a two-year deal following The Bulls relegation from League 1.

Guinan made 24 starts for the Sixfields outfit netting 7 times during 2009/2010.

Other players to be listed are former Bristolian Craig Hinton and Chris Macready.

In other news, Cheltenham Town are reported to be showing interest in, soon to be released, Bristol Rovers defender Steve Elliot.

Elliot is believed to be this week attending a UEFA training course at Cheltenham and Robins’ boss Mark Yates is said be planning a meeting with the player and hoping to fight off competition from Sheffield Wednesday for his signature.

Bulls News has been unable to find any confirmation that Pinky and Perky were seen flying over Whadden Road earlier today.
