It’s beginning to look like former Bulls striker Gary Hooper may be close to a big money move away from Scunthorpe.
Hooper finished the 09/10 season with an impressive 19 Championship goals to come third in the divisions top scorers despite playing in an Iron side that struggled to retain their status.
The Glanford Park boss, Ian Adkins, appears to be already on the lookout for a replacement having held initial talks with Rochdale hitman Chris Dagnell and the 20-goal League 2 man is keen on the move. "I just want to play at the highest level I can play and Scunthorpe are in the Championship, which is a pretty high level. It's a big step up if I do get the chance to go there, but I'm sure it would be a good move for me" Dagnell told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
Hooper has been linked to a number of Clubs including Leeds United who seem resigned to losing Jermaine Beckford.
