The Football League have told Grimsby there will be no reprieve for them if Stockport fail to exit Administration in time. The 2015 group cancelled yesterday's announcement that they had bought the club after a late hitch, but issued a brief statement last night saying the problem had been resolved. The Administrator has 'signed off' the purchase agreement and the deal is now with the FL awaiting ratification.
Merthyr Tydfil will play next season at Taff's Well after their ground was sold to developers, and have withdrawn from the Southern League. They hope to enter the Western League and are getting the ground up to scratch, with a new club likely to be formed. Accrington say they will spend any transfer income on wages rather than transfer fees even if they get the £250,000 they want for Bobby Grant's move to Scunthorpe.
Port Vale have signed former Crewe keeper Stuart Tomlinson from Barrow on a free transfer. The 25 year old has agreed a one year deal. Torquay have sold 900 season tickets so far. Last season they sold 1200 at a reduced price. Torquay defender Kevin Nicholson has asked three people to be his best men at his wedding, two of them ex-Bulls in Tim Sills and Chris Hargreaves.
Kettering have slashed admission prices for the coming season. They will charge £10 adult admission around the ground, and £1 for kids, but prices will rise if they need Police at a game.
