Former Bulls loanee Nathaniel Wedderburn has signed for Northampton after being released by Stoke. The 18 year old has signed a two year deal, with manager Ian Sampson citing his performance for the Bulls against the Cobblers as one of the reasons for his arrival. Southend have told midfielder Alan McCormack that they want him off the wage bill. He has another year of his contract to run.

Hartlepool's appeal against their points deduction for fielding an ineligible player has been turned down. With the deduction they escaped relegation by goal difference only. Salisbury say they intend to remain full time after being demoted two divisions to the BGB Premier, where they will be the only full time club. The club have warned off-field staff there will be redundancies to allow that to happen.

Cheltenham have agreed new deals with goalkeeper Scott Brown and utility man Andy Gallinagh. They have four more of last season's players they are waiting on responses from. Barnet have signed Chelmsford striker Ricky Holmes. The 23 year old was on a weekly contract for the Conf South side, where he scored 21 times last term, and has joined on a free transfer. They have also signed former Brentford winger Glen Poole.

Oxford have signed out of contract Stevenage winger Mitchell Cole on a two year deal. The 24 year old turned down a new deal at Broadhall Way. Morecambe have signed midfielder Paul Scott on a two year deal. He spent six seasons with Bury before being released in May. Chester will find out on Thursday whether their appeal to play higher up than the Northern Counties West League is successful.
