Accrington - 09/10 14th, Bookies 100/1 24th - Despite a healthy 40% increase in attendances last season their tight finances continue. Currently under a transfer embargo, their website lists just 11 players - although that number is optimistic at present - with several more awaiting the embargo's removal. They have their usual relegation tag from the bookies, but John Coleman hasn't had a rebuilding job of this size in all his time at the club and it may just be their time to return to the Conference.
Aldershot - 09/10 6th, Bookies 20/1 12th= - Boss Kevin Dillon has, so far, retained striker Marvin Morgan and that is the best news Shots fans could ask for. Ex-Bull Darren Jones joins a selection of Conference, and lower, starlets with the veteran Glen Little thrown in for good measure. It'll be a big ask for them to match last season's play-off berth, and nigh on impossible if Morgan leaves.
Barnet - 09/10 21st, Bookies 80/1 23rd - All change for the Bees everywhere but at the bookies. A new manager, backroom staff, and 14 new faces including four ex-Bulls, but they're still tipped for the drop. While their defence and midfield seem to be well rounded, they are sorely short on forward options with striker Steve Kabba backed up only by a pair of teenagers. Mark Stimson will have to move fast in the loan market to shore up his striking options if Kabba is injured, or the bookies may be proved right.
Bradford - 09/10 13th, Bookies 10/1 1st - Many of their fans are deeply embarassed by their side's continued presence in League Two, and the bookies join them in expecting Peter Taylor to do the job. Still chasing a striker to complete their front line, with James Hanson seemingly operating almost single-handedly last season, they are hoping Jake Speight will step up from the Conference. The fact that he couldn't hold down a starting berth at Mansfield worries a few.
Burton - 09/10 12th, Bookies 33/1 16th= - A creditable first season in mid-table last term should easily be repeated with the retention of 36 goal strike pair Shaun Harrad and Greg Pearson. Their problems last season were at the back, conceding as many as relegated Grimsby. Veteran Darren Moore arrives as a favour to mate Paul Peschisolido, but it's 15 years since he played at this level and one man alone - even one of Moore's ability - may not be enough to stem the tide.
Bury - 09/10 9th, Bookies 18/1 11th - One of a number of sides still assembling their squad at the time of writing. Current no.1 keeper Cameron Belford has only a handful of first team appearances, while several of their new signings have had limited experience at their previous clubs. Second top scorer Andy Morrell left for Wrexham, but they've retained 18 goal Ryan Lowe and - if he can stay fit this season - Andy Bishop so there should be no fear of relegation, but they're looking like no more than mid-table filler at present.
Cheltenham - 09/10 22nd, Bookies 70/1 20th - Avoided relegation by four points last season, and the bookies expect little better this term. New strike force Wes Thomas and Jeff Goulding scored 29 between them in their only season together - for Conf South Fisher Athletic two years ago. Since then, they've managed just seven League goals in the League. Like that pair, half their squad will have to prove they're not non-league anymore before they suddenly find that it's May and they are again.
