Torquay return to the top of the table after a goalless draw with Accrington put them above Shrewsbury on goal difference. The Shrews lost 2-0 at Gillingham, while Port Vale are also on 13 points after beating Aldershot 1-0. Chesterfield's 1-1 draw at Morecambe mean they are a point behind, with Rotherham blowing a 3-0 half time lead to draw 3-3 with Burton to be a point further down. Cheltenham are the last side to have made it into double figures so far after they beat Stevenage 1-0 at home. Crewe are up to ninth after beating Bury 3-0.

Down the bottom Morecambe lie a point adrift at the foot of the table, while Bradford are only goal-difference away from replacing the Bulls in the bottom two after their 1-1 draw with Stockport kept them clear. Barnet are the first side on five points after losing 1-0 to Lincoln, with Macclesfield recording their first win of the season, 2-1 at Wycombe, to move ahead of them on goal difference. Northampton moved clear of the bottom with a 2-1 win over Southend.

In the Conference Winbledon retain a two point lead after hammering Bath 4-0, with Crawley winning 2-0 at Histon. Darlington boss Mark Cooper issued a 'final warning' to his misfiring side before today and they won 3-0 against Forest Green, with Kidderminster beating Hayes and Yeading 3-1. Altrincham remain without a win after going down 2-0 at Gateshead.
