Chris Sutton has resigned as manager of Lincoln for personal reasons. Assistant manager Ian Pearce is also leaving.
A news conference will take place at Sincil Bank this evening when more details will be revealed.
Lincoln are 20th in League Two with eight points some three more than Hereford United.
Match summariser and former Imps manager Steve Thompson told BBC Lincolnshire: "I think for Chris Sutton it's probably been coming.
"The results, the dwindling crowds and they've not improved in 12 months so I wouldn't say I was surprised."
"Sutton took over at a difficult time from Peter Jackson, kept Lincoln in the league but finished 20th and 12 months down the line, they're still 20th."
