Capital Glovers have put together an evening of entertainment to celebrate the life of Adam Stansfield who played for Yeovil, Exeter City and of course Hereford United.
Compere for the night is Barry Glendenning, deputy sport editor of the Guardian website, fiver contributor, regular in James Richardson's football podcast and a former stand up comedian.
Guests from the world of football will give talks and there will be a short Q&A session with each of them. Guests include:
-Absolute Radio/ESPN commentator Jim Proudfoot.
-Ex-Yeovil and Hereford United player Murray Fishlock.
-The Guardian's Matt Scott.
-BBC World Football Pundit Andy Brassell.
There will also be a raffle and auction for some top prizes kindly provided by clubs such as Manchester United, Yeovil Town, Queens Park Rangers, Brentford and, hopefully, Hereford United plus other goodies from Pitch International!
Entertainment will also be in the offing, with video footage from Adam's career and some classic football clips from rising twitter stars, @retrombm.
The event takes place on Thursday, 11th November at the Blue Anchor pub just off Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1EL.
All proceeds from the night will be going to the Adam Stansfield Football Foundation and Family Fund.
As well as being a celebration of Adam's career, this night is open to ALL football fans so please feel free to spread news of this event which starts at 7.30. Especially welcome will be members of the London Bulls.
