Two Errors cost us a Win said Pitman

Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman thought that two deficiencies cost the Bulls a win against Lincoln City this afternoon.

"You don't need me to tell you but two deficiencies from ourselves caused us problems again," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"We've done that a number of times this season. If we could eliminate those, we'll do alright.

"The way we play we'll always score goals. I think we've only failed to score once in a game (since Pitman was in charge), now we need to concentrate on not conceeding.

Pitman said he was pleased with his recent acquisitions.

"Matty Lunt has come in off the bench and done very well.

"Joe Heath was excellent at left back.

"Nicky Featherstone continues to get better and better."

Guillem Bauza came on a sub late in the game but Pitman implied he was not yet match-fit.

"Everyone was calling for Bauza but the lad has hardly trained. He's come back from a groin problem after four weeks and he's very rusty.

"People were calling for him but I see what they do in training in the week. I hopefully made the right decision by leaving him out."

Pitman was pleased to be in tomorrow's draw for the third round but first a replay.

"We'll go there and have another game with them. We'll enjoy each others company soon."

Good news on the injury front as Pitman said he hoped both Janos Kovacs and James McQuilken would be available next Saturday.
