FA insist on pitch inspection at Lincoln

The Football Association has told Lincoln City that an active referee must inspect the Sincil Bank pitch before the tomorrow's game against Hereford United can officially be called off.

A nominated referee will now have to travel to the ground to ensure the proper procedure is followed.

UPDATE: 11.45 Game OFF. Former referee Phil Joslin has called the game off after a quick pitch inspection.

Meanwhile Notts County's Cup game against Bournemouth due to be played tomorrow evening has been postponed after a pitch inspection at 11am this morning.
