Preview: Bradford vs Bulls

The Bulls travel to the frozen north to face Bradford City in a League Two match on Saturday.

The Bulls have won three of the four matches between the sides in recent times. Most recent of those was in March, when Mathieu Manset and a debuting Jake Jervis helped the Bulls to a 2-0 win. Last time at Valley Parade Gareth Evans' strike was the only goal of the game for the Bantams.

The Bantams remain the biggest club in League Two, and are the biggest underachievers in the division. Despite having attendances of up to six times the size of some of their rivals, they are a lowly 16th in the table and just five points clear of the rock bottom Bulls. Manager Peter Taylor has had to suffer criticism from both the stands and the bench, with Zesh Rehman being stripped of the captaincy for his questioning of Taylor's team selection, but has insisted this week that his decision to play inexperienced loanees isn't forced by the parent clubs.

The Bulls travel in bigger numbers than previous matches with Janos Kovacs and James McQuilkin both hoped to be fit. Four players have had a virus this week that could cause a selection headache, especially with Adam Bartlett one of those under the weather. With Dan Connor still out, any problem with Bartlett could mean that coach Russell Hoult, or rookies Rhett Heister or Tom Whittaker could be called into action.

Bradford City vs Hereford United, Valley Parade, Saturday 11th December, 3.00pm.
