Kenny will want the win

The past few days might have been all about King Kenny's return to Liverpool, but Hereford's very own will be looking to spark a performance that will see the Bulls progress into the fourth round of the FA Cup at Wycombe tomorrow evening.

Kenny Lunt made 41 appearences at Hillsbrough, from 2006-2009, and the Bulls' midfielder will no doubt be doing his all to help United face the League One giants, in order to prove a point to his former employers. The former Crewe midfielder joined Wednesday in 2006, from Crewe Alexandra, beating off a number of other Championship teams for his signature. However, Lunt was in and out of the team, making 37 starts for Wednesday. He was reported to be on his way out in October 2006 when Paul Sturrock claimed he wasn't part of his plans but Lunt was rejuvenated under Brian Laws. However, in early 2008, Lunt again fell out of favour and rejoined Crewe on loan.

'I don't think I have a fair opportunity at Sheffield Wednesday this season, so I needed to get out and play some games again,' commented Lunt in February 2008.

'I have started three games this season and we haven't done so well. Last season I played over 30 and we were tenth in the table, so I don't think I've had a fair chance this year.

Lunt was restored to Hereford's starting line-up at Aldershot and has been pivotal in the past two wins, setting up Stuart Fleetwood's opener at the Recreation Ground, and then going on to be involved in all four goals at Lincoln on Saturday.
