Bulls bring in striker Fairhurst

Hereford United have signed Doncaster Rovers striker Waide Fairhurst on an initial one month loan.

According to BBC Hereford and Worcester the 21 year old will be in the squad for Cheltenham on Saturday.

"Doncaster think a lot of Waide and only last summer gave him a two year contract," manager Jamie Pitman told the OS.

"I'm sure he's got some goals in him and it's good to have him onboard."

Pitman has also spoken to the Worcester News about Fairhurst.

"Waide’s a goal-scorer and will work very hard," said Pitman.

"He’s played a bit at this level and did well at Shrewsbury. He will hopefully give us an extra dimension up front."

Former Hereford United coach Richard O'Kelly is with Doncaster and may have suggested to Pitman that Fairhurst could be a useful addition for the Bulls.

Here's a short profile from Wikipedia.

Fairhurst, who was born in Sheffield, made his Doncaster Rovers debut in a 1–0 loss against Coventry City. He substituted Mark Wilson in the 84th minute.
