The Express and Star is reporting that the Bulls had a deadline day bid from Kidderminster man Chris McPhee accepted.
The player rejected the move, according to the paper, but fails to go into details about the offer. It reports McPhee telling the paper: “I want to see out the season here and maybe beyond that. My position hasn’t changed, I have always given it my all when I played for Kidderminster from the day I came here.
"But, at the end of the day, the decision will always fall at my feet and, if the deal isn’t right for me and my family, I can’t just up sticks and go because I am told to.”
Kidderminster remain under pressure to offload their top earner despite accepting a takeover bid from businessman Chris Swan. He went to the press last night to say he was unable to access the full club accounts during due dilligence - and those he did see exposed another £52,000 of debt. The club has also failed to pay the wage bill on time, delaying payment until Thursday.
Harriers face the taxman in court on February 23rd over an unpaid tax bill from October and are understood to have racked up further tax debts since then.
