Jamie Pitman knows Mark Yates quite well, the two of them played against each other on the pitch when Hereford United came up against Kidderminster Hariers in the Conference.
And today they will met up for the second time as managers.
Yates moved to Cheltenham from Kidderminster and as Pitman says he and assistant Neil Howarth have done a good job.
"I have played against him so there’s that to contend with and the rivalry of it being a local derby," Pitman told the Worcester News.
"But I have got the utmost respect for what they have done."
Pitman knows the game won't be easy.
"They are going very well," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Yates is an excellent manager, he organises them very well and they've got some good players.
"It's going to be a tough game but we're not bad away from home."
