Burton remain at the wrong end of the table after losing 1-0 to Torquay in the first of their marathon catch-up matches. Tony James managed a second successive start for the Brewers, but the game was watched by another season-low home crowd for the Gulls. Morecambe move a second point further ahead of the Bulls after drawing 3-3 at Northampton. Accrington slip down a place after losing 2-0 at Rotherham. Aldershot keep one eye on the wrong end of the table after their 2-2 draw with Lincoln in front of a season low crowd.

At the top Chesterfield drew 1-1 with Bury to stretch their lead to five points, with the Millers moving second and Bury staying fifth. Wycombe slip to fourth after losing 3-2 at Southend. Oxford drew 0-0 at Stevenage to stay eighth.

In the Conference Crawley and Wrexham shared a goalless draw, while play-off challengers Fleetwood lost 1-0 at York. Nine teams could now occupy the final play-off spot if they won their various games in hand.

Tranmere moved clear of the drop zone in beating Sheff Weds 3-0, but Yeovil remain in danger after a 2-0 home loss to Peterboro.
