News Round Up

Oldham's players and staff have not been paid on time for the second successive month. The club say the wage bill will be settled early next week. Wrexham's current owners have denied the club is days away from Administration after bidder Stephanie Booth revealed they had received a winding up notice from the taxman.

Bradford's local press say the reason their match with Shrewsbury is the only League game kicking off at 3pm today is because the Shrews refused to either move the day, or wanted £3,000 for an overnight stay to play the game at 1pm. Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will meet the club's chairman to discuss his future after admitting that results haven't been good enough this season.

Departed Port Vale manager Jim Gannon has released a statement through the LMA saying the club's board knew his management style: 'On taking the appointment I felt that we had a clear understanding about my style of coaching and management.' Torquay had to ditch their own coach and use Cheltenham's team bus to make last night's game. Players carried kit up an embankment on the M5 to meet the Robins' bus that was on the bridge above after being stuck in traffic for several hours.

Sky Sports claim Stockport rejected a bid from Torquay for midfielder Greg Tansey. The 22 year old is out of contract in the summer and is claimed to be a target of a unnamed League One side. Accrington say they have a couple of potential new sponsors interested in the club. They have lost their stadium and shirt sponsors over the last year and are seeking both for the coming season.
