The Valiants are a point out of the play-offs in ninth, three points ahead of Accrington after a late Darren Jones header left them with a 1-1 draw at Aldershot. Stevenage leap up to fourth after a 4-0 win at Macclesfield in front of just 1,346.
At the foot of League One Swindon lost 2-1 at Brighton to be seven points adrift of safety with just eight games left. Dagenham secured another point with a 1-1 draw with Sheff Weds to go six games unbeaten, while Yeovil eased four points clear of the bottom four with a 5-1 win at Leyton Orient.
