Results Round-Up - Chesterfield Promoted

Chesterfield have become the first side to gain promotion from League Two this season after Wycombe's goalless draw with Torquay today left only two sides capable of catching the Spireites. The Chairboys remain third, but can be caught by Shrewsbury with a win tomorrow, with Torquay staying fifth. Stevenage remain sixth after they were reduced to ten men in their 1-0 loss at Southend. Bury are eight points inside the promotion zone in second after beating Lincoln 1-0, leaving the Imps winless in eight matches. In the other afternoon game Crewe beat Morecambe 2-1.

At the foot of League One Plymouth beat Dagenham 1-0 to close their safety gap to six points from four games. Tranmere hit the 50 point mark with a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool.

In the Conference Crawley racked up 100 points with a 4-0 demolition of Rushden. Matt Tubbs scored a hat-trick as the Diamonds had two players sent off, with their winless run now 12 matches.
