They can now be relegated if they lose at Port Vale next Saturday. Barnet lost 2-0 at Bury, with Burton beating ten man Cheltenham 2-0 to move three points clear of the Bees. Northampton surrendered a two goal half time lead to draw 2-2 with Wycombe to only stay above the Brewers on goal difference. Four teams are three points further up the table, headed by the Bulls, with Lincoln holding the worst goal difference after drawing 1-1 with Crewe. Bradford are next after their 4-0 loss at Southend last night, with Macclesfield 18th after losing at Chesterfield 2-1.
The Spireites are seven points clear at the top but still need a point to secure promotion after Shrewsbury's win. Bury are five points inside the automatic spots after their win, with Wycombe holding onto third by only a point from the Shrews. The remaining three play-off spots are being chased by four sides level on points. Torquay head the pack after a goalless draw with Port Vale, followed by Stevenage after their 2-2 draw with Aldershot. Gillingham also drew, 1-1 with Morecambe, as did Accrington in their goalless game with Oxford. The Valiant are three points behind that quartet, with Rotherham a further point behind.
In the Conference Crawley moved to 98 points with a 4-0 win at Southport. Wimbledon secured their play-off spot with a 4-0 win at Histon, but Luton's goalless draw at Mansfield mean they have to wait. Kidderminster slip to four points shy of the play-offs after a 1-1 draw at Eastbourne, with Fleetwood beating Altrincham but having played a game more. Forest Green increased their safety net to three points with a 1-1 draw with Cambridge.
At the foot of League One Plymouth lost 2-1 at Peterboro to leave them needing to make up seven points in five games. All of the bottom six lost, with Tranmere's 2-0 win over Dagenham pretty much securing their League One status.
