Results Round Up

The Bulls should be getting nervous right about now after today's results saw the safety margin cut to three points with just three games left. While Stockport's 2-1 win at Port Vale is fairly irrelevant from the Bulls' perspective, Barnet's 4-2 win at Gillingham means the Bees are just three points - and two goals - worse off than Jamie Pitman's men. Burton eased their problems after winning 2-1 at Aldershot to shunt the Bulls down to 20th and leave just Northampton and Lincoln - who both lost yesterday - between them and the bottom two. Macclesfield also pulled themselves to safety after beating Cheltenham 1-0 to hit the magical 50 point mark, but Bradford remain sweating for points after going down 3-0 at Accrington.

Bottom of League Two:

15 Morecambe 43 -13 50
16 Macclesfield 43 -16 50
17 Burton Albion 43 -14 48
18 Cheltenham 43 -22 48
19 Bradford 43 -22 48
20 Hereford 43 -16 47
21 Lincoln City 43 -30 47
22 Northampton 43 -11 45
23 Barnet 43 -18 44
24 Stockport 43 -46 39

Stanley are now fifth in the table, three points inside the play-offs, after today's results. Chesterfield drew 0-0 at Oxford to extend their lead for the championship to five points, while Shrewsbury are a point inside the automatic promotion spots after their Edgar Street win.

In the Conference Luton's 3-0 win over Eastbourne guarantees their play-off participation, while Wrexham need only another point after winning 1-0 at Gateshead. At the foot of the table Forest Green lost 2-1 at Kettering, but stay out of the drop zone on goal difference only after Southport won at Tamworth 1-0.

At the bottom of League One Swindon threw away a goal lead to lose 2-1 at home to Notts County to leave them rooted to the foot of the table. The Magpies are now four points clear of the bottom four, while the Robins need to make up six points in just three games. Bristol Rovers drew 2-2 with Charlton, and Walsall drew 1-1 with Sheff Weds, for both sides to draw level with 20th placed Dagenham on 44 points. The Pirates have - by 17 goals - a far worse goal difference than the Daggers.
