News Round-Up

Torquay keeper Danny Potter has signed for Newport. The 32 year old was second choice at Plainmoor and his signing is likely to signal ex-Bull Glyn Thompson's departure from County. Aldershot are expected to sign Newport midfielder Jamie Collins, with the South Wales press saying the 26 year old has had a medical with the Shots.

Burton keeper Adam Legzdins has been the subject of a bid from Derby County. The Championship side's offer has been rejected with Legzdins still having 12 months left on his current deal. The Brewers are also reported to have made a move for released Derby midfielder Ben Pringle, but a move is 'out of the reach' of the club according to boss Paul Peschisolido.

Colchester backer Robbie Cowling is to withdraw his financial support for the club over the next five years. In a statement on the club's website, Cowling revealed the playing budget was £3.5million for the coming season, including £1.4million from his support. He will drop his subsidy by £300,000 a season until it is zero in the summer of 2016. Ex-Bulls midfielder Jon Wallis has said he left Dover for Dartford as he could not get on with manager Martin Hayes.

Torquay boss Paul Buckle says he will meet the club's board and decide his future over the next couple of days. He has denied signing a deal with Bristol Rovers.
