Stockport have named Ray Mathias as their permanent manager for the coming season.
The former Tranmere and Wigan boss won just two of his ten games in charge at the back end of the season, but will now rebuild the squad for a first tilt at Conference football.
His first action is to announce the club's retained list. With only three first teamers on contract, Mathias has opted to offer deals to only five more and release 11 others. Among those being offered contracts are in-demand pair Danny Rowe and Greg Tansey, while first team regulars Mansour Assoumani and Adam Griffin are among those to depart.
The Hatters are considered by the bookies to be a 25/1 mid-table side for next season.
Meanwhile Bury say they have identified the candidate to be their next manager, but will not make any further statements regarding their identity until the contract has been signed. Fans on the club's forum claim the successful candidate is former Carlisle boss Neil McDonald, who had most recently been Sam Allardyce's no.2 at Blackburn.
