A Virgin Money survey into fans' match attendance suggests Season Ticket sales and matchday sales will fall this season by more than 10%.
The survey says that 14% of League Two season ticket holders will not renew their seat, while 17% of matchday ticket buyers will be going to fewer matches.
The survey's Football Fan Inflation Index says the overall cost of the matchday experience has risen by 18% in the past season, mostly driven by rises in costs of petrol, food, and alcohol. Ticket prices have risen, on average, by only £2 in the five years of the survey but off-field costs have risen by more than £20.
