News Round-Up

Bristol Rovers have signed veteran striker Scott McGleish on a one year deal. The 37 year old scored 18 goals for Leyton Orient last term but was released at the end of the season. The Pirates have released midfielder Dominic Blizzard by mutual consent. The former Watford trainee, who the Bulls once tried to sign on loan, had 12 months left on his deal but has been largely ignored by the changing management at the Memorial Ground over the past 12 months.

MK Dons have rejected a bid from Peterboro for former Bulls loanee Stephen Gleeson. Former Bulls midfielder Jake Sedgemore has signed for Evo-Stik Premier side Chasetown after spending last season at Jimmy Quinn's Nantwich. Accrington have signed defender Danny Coid following his release from Blackpool. The 29 year old played over 250 games for the Seasiders but made only one League appearance in the last two years and was sent out on loan to Rotherham last term.

Stockport are on the verge of being sold to a local solicitor. Tony Evans runs a firm of ambulance chasers with a base on Merseyside and is expected to complete a majority buyout next week. Shrewsbury are reported to be in talks with Accrington striker Terry Gornell. The 21 year old would cost the Shrews a fee, and would be their second Accrington signing of the week.

Swindon have appointed Italian Dominic Doardo as their new goalkeeper coach. The 36 year old is a former Italian u21 international with a series of Serie B and C sides in his history.
