Herefordshire Council are expected to increase parking charges around Edgar Street in the near future.
Currently the council say they need to make savings of £10.3m to balance this year's budget and increasing parking charges is an easy option.
The increases could be approved as early as this Thursday when there is a council cabinet meeting.
The cost of parking in Merton Meadow, which is next to the football ground, has remained at the current level for the last three years.
There is also a proposal to introduce a pay on exit scheme to some car parks.
Should this be introduced at Merton Meadow it is likely to have the effect of delaying supporters leaving the car park after Hereford United games.
