There are raised eyebrows over Gillingham's AGM, where the club are set to vote on plans buy back their Priestfield stadium for £1million just three years after selling it to RBS for £10million. When asked about the deal by the Guardian chairman Paul Scally, who presides over a £15million debt at the club, refused to comment. Their AGM is also set to be their last, with another vote on the day to remove the need for future AGMs.

Plymouth have failed to sign striker Anthony Elding after rejected the move for personal reasons. He is now believed to be speaking to a trio of Conference sides. Southend have confirmed they have ended talks with trialist Rohan Ricketts, claiming they never made him a firm offer. They denied the failure to agree a deal was due to finances, but down to the player's fitness.

New Gillingham striker Adam Birchall will miss several months after scans showed cruicate ligament damage to his knee that will need an operation.
