Grimsby have signed Rochdale striker Anthony Elding for an undisclosed fee after his rejection of a move to Plymouth. The former Stevenage man has signed a one year deal. Dagenham have signed striker Jake Reed on a two year deal. The 20 year old scored a hat-trick for Great Yarmouth in a friendly match with the Daggers last week.

Rotherham are reported to have rejected a £500,000 bid from Coventry for striker Adam Le Fondre. The Daily Star claims the Millers are asking for £1.5million for the former Rochdale man. Shrewsbury's teenage striker Tom Bradshaw is facing several months on the sidelines after damaging a knee in their friendly with Wolves. They fear cruciate ligament damage and are awaiting results of a scan.

Port Vale fan group North London Valiants have formally rejected the board's offer of a seat on the board, with the group claiming they were told to find new funding of £50,000 and were also threatened with legal action by the club. NLV called the board's offer 'hollow and disingenuous'. The club have responded with surprise, claiming that the rejection is a 'political gesture'. Swindon have confirmed the signing of released Charlton midfielder Alan McCormack on a two year deal.

Football industry magazine FC Business has launched a campaign to get the alcohol ban on football ground terraces and seating lifted. They wrote to football clubs asking for their views and every one of 40 reponses received so far wanted the ban lifted. Cheltenham have signed youngsters Harry Hooman and Bagasan Graham on one year deals. The pair were released by Shrewsbury and QPR respectively.
