Colin Peake, operations director at Forest Green Rovers, feels that Jamie Pitman has that 'extra something'. The Hereford United manager was assistant manager at the Lawn before returning to Edgar Street.
"Jamie has special qualities," Peake told the FGR OS. "He's someone that people take to and listen to and it was clear right from the word go that he had that extra something about him.
"He's someone that demands only the very best from himself and those around him and when he was with us you could see a brilliant young manager in the making.
"I was delighted when he was given the chance by Hereford last season and the way he pulled them off the bottom proved he's a manager with a very big and bright future ahead of him.
"Like every other manager, he needs time and lots of support to win through."
Pitman will return to the Lawn on Saturday for a friendly between the two clubs.
