Hereford United's assistant manager Russell Hoult thought there had been a 'full team effort' from the Bulls this afternoon at Whaddon Road.
"It was never going to be easy coming here," Hoult told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "Especially with the situation we are in and the way things have been going.
"But we've had a great week, worked hard all through the week and it's paid off today."
Stefan Stam leading his side onto the pitch
Keith Hall suggested the calming influence from Stefan Stam helped.
"He's a quality player. He reads the game really well. The problem we have had of late is his fitness. If we can keep him fit then we have a great chance of getting out of this.
"But there again it's not all down to Stef, Joe Heath has done really well, Ryan Green has done really well.
"We just need that little bit of luck that we are not getting at the moment. We'll keep working and we'll keep digging out results like this."
Both Sam Winnall and Tom Barkhuizen started the game.
"They are quality players. We're lucky enough to get the lads out on loan and we are greatful to their club for letting them come.
"They are both a threat, very comfortable on the ball and they are great around the dressing room as well."
Summimg up Hoult felt the club must look forward.
"We have to build on things like today and take the positives out of that and hopefully things will start to turn."
