It didn't go for us - Yates

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates was probably the more disappointed of the two managers at Whaddon road this afternoon as his side couldn't breach the Bulls defence.

"Although the scoreline was frustrating, the performance was excellent, we just didn't take the chances that came along," Yates told the press.

"I have been told we had 24 goal opportunities, and we didn't make their keeper work enough. But I can't criticise the lads today - sometimes it just doesn't go for you.

"We had a couple kicked off the line, made a few bad decisions when we should have been in good positions, and Josh Low has missed a chance which I have never seen him miss in my life.

"But the clean sheet was a positive, we never looked like conceding a goal, and some of our play was decent. It is always frustrating not to win any home game, but anyone who thought it was going to be a four or five-nil walkover was in cloud-cuckoo land."
