News Round-Up

Northampton have released midfielder Kevin Thornton following the expiration of his short term deal. Manager Gary Johnson told the press the club's decision to sell Shaun Harrad was partly financially motivated, with chairman Dennis Cardoza stating early gates at Sixfields were lower than expected. Torquay's new grandstand will not be open until next season after a dispute with the contractors. The existing condemned stand will not be demolished until October with the club still yet to finalise a new deal with a different company.

Burton are trialling defenders Robbie Nelson and Rob Kozluk as they seek reinforcements. Nelson left Leicester in the summer and Kozluk was most recently with Sheff Utd. Bradford have confirmed that assistant manager Colin Cooper will remain as no.2 to new boss Phil Parkinson. Plymouth's staff still haven't been paid despite the Administrator claiming he had received adequate proof of funds from bidder Bishop International.

Dagenham have signed winger Dominic Green following his release from Peterboro. The 22 year old was sold by the Daggers to the Posh three years ago for a six-figure fee but was released in the summer by mutual consent after just 11 starts.
