News Round-Up

Plymouth's Administrator has formally announced an 'agreement in principle' to sell the club to James Brent's Akkeron Group. Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle will meet club employees today and tell them he wants the deal finalised within the next month. Brent also hopes to conclude the deal quickly, subject to Football League approval and reaching agreements with a number of key creditors.

Burton have extended the loan of striker James Ellison to Alfreton for a second month. Cheltenham say talks on a potential move to the town's racecourse are progressing to the point where 'firm decisions can be and need to be taken'. The proposed move will see the two entities share a new double-sided grandstand, with corporate facilities shared between them.

Work has started on a new stadium for Maidstone United, more than 20 years after they left the town. They were a different side, and Football League members, before they left the town in 1988. The club went bust in 1992 after four years playing in Dartford. Northampton are trialling defenders Jason Crowe and Eddie Oshodi. Crowe is a fromer Cobbler who last played for Leyton Orient, while teenager Oshodi was released by Watford in the summer.

Grimsby chief executive Ian Fleming, who is in control of the club after chairman John Fenty resigned, says they will listen to offers to take over the club. Former Bull Jimmy Harvey has been named Manager of the Month in Conf North after taking his Stalybridge side to second place in the table with four wins and a draw in the month.

Cheltenham have signed Everton defender Luke Garbutt on an initial one month loan. The England u19 international cost the Toffees £600,000 from Leeds' academy two years ago. Bradford have signed Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed on a one month loan. The 20 year old played 12 games for Brentford in a two month loan last term but is yet to appear for the Premier League side.

Aldershot have signed QPR winger Bruno Andrade on a months loan. The 17 year old has already made four appearances for the R's first team including a sub appearance in the Premier League this season. Gillingham are expected to sign Bristol Rovers striker Jo Kuffour after the two clubs reached agreement over a loan move.
