Hereford United director of football Gary Peters was pleased with today's three points against Barnet but, as he told BBC Hereford and Worcester, there's still room for improvement from the squad.
"I was very pleased with the performance today," said Peters.
"We've been doing things slightly different over the past few weeks and we've been working harder and making less mistakes.
"It's not as if we are playing brilliantly yet, we can't get carried away
"I think it's going to take us two or three months to be in the sort of form we need to be in. In the meantime we've just got to keep scrapping and fighting and trying to pick up some points."
Keith Hall suggested to Peters that the partnership between Stefan Stam and Andy Todd in defence had made a real difference.
"I think it's a bigger thing that that. I think it's all around. I think if you look at the forwards the way they close down the opposition, the midfield players close down the opposition, it gives us a chance to get into shape and make sure we're a bit more solid than perhaps we were earlier."
On the game itself Peters felt that the Bulls had created most of the chances.
"We probably could have had one or two goals in the first half. We just kept at it. It doesn't always come off so it's important to make more and more chances."
Young striker Sam Winnall was back in the starting eleven this afternoon.
"We felt that Sam would give us more of a goal threat than we had last week. whether that happened or not I don't know, we had quite a few chances but it took us a little bit longer before we finished it.
"Sam does give you a goal threat but at home we felt we needed to have more of a goal threat than we've had in previous weeks."
Despite two home wins back to back Peters is not complacent.
"We don't think by any means that we are over the problem, we're just working on it.
"When we looked at previous games from earlier in the season, I felt that there were eleven individuals out there trying to play attractive games of football. We've now got eleven working as one, and because of that we're a bit more solid."
