Oxford united's manager, Chris Wilder, was pleased to take three points from this afternoon's game against Hereford United.
"It's something to be proud of and I am absolutely delighted by the players in unbelievably hot conditions," said Wilder.
"To have this sort of weather in October is unbelievable and it made it difficult for both sets of players.
"However, I am a bit disappointed that we didn't ourselves a clearer winning advantage which would have made the last 20 to 25 minutes a little bit easier.
"But we handled everything well and always looked a threat going forward so I have to be pleased for everybody. We always try to play the right way and create chances, so it is no good playing one route football when you have got Robert Hall and Alfie Potter up front."
