Hereford United are holding their first ever Family Football Festival this afternoon at Edgar Street. The idea behind the Festival is to try and attract more families to watch Hereford United.
For today's game special family tickets are available. For just £25 two adults and up to three children can watch. £20 buys a ticket for one adult and up to four children.
Young supporters can have their faces painted, no doubt in the colours of Hereford United, and all supporters are invited to take part in a fancy dress competition for which there are club shop prizes.
Special entertainment by the local fire service will take place at half-time.
As regards the football, second in the League Crawley Town are the visitors. Their manager is Steve Evans who is well known to Hereford United supporters from when he was in charge at Boston United.
These days Evans has one of the largest budgets in League Two and Crawley, who were promoted from the Conference last May, have not been afraid to splash out on players.
It's expected that they will provide tough opposition to Jamie Pitman's side who will be without their captain Stefan Stam through injury.
However Hereford have had a reasonable run of results recently with just one defeat in their last five games. So it should be an entertaining contest.
