Mark Brown from East Yorkshire has been selected to referee next Saturday's League Two game between Crewe and Hereford United.
The Bulls met Brown twice last season. Firstly at Chesterfield where he gave out four yellow cards in a game the Bulls lost 4-0. Simon Davey was in charge at the time and Sean Canham, Mathieu Manset, Mike Townsend and Adam Bartlett were the players who were booked.
Secondly Brown came to Edgar Street last February and took charge of the goal-less game against Burton Albion. There were five yellow and two red cards in this game. Janos Kovacs was, perhaps harshly, sent off after receiving a second yellow and Kenny Lunt also went down in Brown's book.
A week after the Burton game, Brown was banned for three weeks by referee boss Mike Riley for posting a football-related jokebook on the social networking sites which, it was said, a gag about Stephen Gerrard.
To date this season Brown has been in charge of 16 games in which he has given out 38 yellow and just 1 red card.
