The remaining ten contracted players, manager Craig Liddle, and the last of the office staff have been made redundant at Darlington.
With the Conference demanding to know by Wednesday whether their game with Fleetwood at the weekend will go ahead, Administrator Harvey Madden has effectively closed the doors on the club leaving it almost certain to fold.
Although Madden maintains that a last-minute deal may still be tabled, a day of talks ended without an offer on the table leaving him, he says, with little choice but to turf out the remaining club employees. Even if they had stayed in place, the club would have struggled to stage Saturday's game with so many of the club's staff already departed.
Manager Liddle has told the BBC he will remain at the club, working for free with the youth team. They continue as they are seperately funded by the Football League until the end of the season.
