Aldershot are reported to have made a move for Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley. The 18 year old is available for loan again after a spell with Accrington. Swindon have denied receiving bids for midfielders Matt Ritchie and Paul Caddis after the Ipswich press claimed the pair were targets of Paul Jewell, who had confirmed he had made offers for two players from one unnamed club.
Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs claims they never approached Paul Peschisolido over their vacant managerial post. Higgs claims Peschisolido's agent approached the club before they contacted Burton, when the Brewers handed the Canadian more money to stay with them. The Bristol press say that Mark McGhee has also applied for the job while Higgs has confirmed that Sean O'Driscoll, now expected to be installed at Plymouth, was demanding too much money both for himself and as a budget for the club to afford. Paul Ince is also reported to have withdrawn his interest in the role.
