News Round-Up

Bradford striker Nialle Rodney is to play for Walsall's reserve side on trial this afternoon. The 20 year old has made only five sub appearances for the Bantams this season, and just one start and two sub appearances in loans at Darlington and Mansfield. Darlington's Administrator has set a noon deadline for firm bids for the club. He must inform the Conference tomorrow whether their match at the weekend will go ahead.

Wrexham have had the £250,000 bond deposited with the Conference returned to them. The bond was demanded in August during their protracted takeover talks with the bulk of the money raised by individual supporters. Former Bulls winger Jennison Myrie-Williams has been told he can leave Stevenage on a permanent deal, with various sources claiming the likes of Bradford and Aldershot, as well as some League One sides, are interested in signing the former Bristol City man.

Swindon say they have had a bid accepted for Gillingham winger Luke Rooney. The 21 year old is out of contract in the summer and had rejected offers of a new deal. Torquay are to take Caernarfon winger Nathan Craig on a two week trial. The Welsh u21 man was released by Everton in the summer after playing for their first team in the Europa League in 2009.

Port Vale forward Lewis Haldane is set for further surgery on the broken leg that has kept him out since August. The winger's recovery is now being hampered by the metal pins used to hold his leg together, and surgery is likely to be needed to remove those. Meanwhile, the Valiants will be without former Bulls loanee Lee Collins for a further three weeks after he was ruled out of last weekend's loss to Wimbledon with ankle ligament damage.

Northampton chairman Dennis Cardoza says there is no crisis at the club despite them slipping back to the foot of the table. He told the press he had upped this season's playing budget by £350,000 to mount a promotion challenge, and will back Aidy Boothroyd with more funds. Morecambe are trialling Altrincham striker Jack Redshaw. The 21 year old has been a regular scorer in Conf North after spending ten years at Man City.

In a website Q&A, Kidderminster chief Mark Serrell tells fans the club's playing budget is based on 1,800 attendances and, he believes, is in the bottom six of the Conference. ITV have agreed an extension to their FA Cup coverage that will run to 2014. The deal also includes live coverage of the FA Youth Cup.

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido claims he doesn't know the person who approached Bristol Rovers supposedly on his behalf. Shrewsbury have extended the loan of midfielder Aaron Wildig to the end of the season. The Hereford born youngster has scored once in five games so far for the Shrews. Crewe midfielder Lee Bell will miss a month as he requires hernia surgery.

Dagenham have extended the loan of striker Cristian Montano into a third month. The youth loan deal means the West Ham teenager can stay at the club until the end of the season if all parties agree. Meanwhile, the Daggers are waiting on news of loan signing Exodus Geoghaghon. The giant defender was one of the players released by Darlington, effectively ending his loan spell, and he is now in limbo.

Plymouth owner James Brent says the club's wage budget could be one of the biggest in the division if it wasn't hampered by paying off the legacy debt. Brent's agreement to buy the club will see them hand over around 20% of their wage bill to clear historic debt each season. Former Bulls loanee Lateef Elford-Alliyu has rejoined Tranmere on loan from West Brom. The teenager scored five times in 14 games at Prenton Park last season.
